Abed focuses his practice on venture capital financing and acquisitions and representing entrepreneurs and venture-backed start-ups (especially in internet, computer software, and hardware) in all stages of development.

BIOGRAPHY

Abed Nashef is an Of Counsel in the Corporate and Hi-Tech Groups at Pearl Cohen’s Tel Aviv office. His practice covers a broad range of general corporate and commercial matters. In particular, Abed focuses his practice on venture capital financing and acquisitions and representing venture-backed start-ups (in different segments) in all stages of development from inception, through financing rounds, M&As and general ongoing commercial and corporate legal work. Among his clients are emerging growth companies, investors and tech corporations.

Abed also counsels clients on different aspects of corporate law and represents local and international VCs and other investors in their portfolio investments. He is also experienced in negotiating different types of complex commercial agreements, including technology, distribution and franchise agreements and other commercial cross-border transactions. Abed also gained some experience in performing due diligence on investment funds (Private Equity and Venture Capital) on behalf of institutional investors, and have been engaged in several fund formation work.

Prior to joining Pearl Cohen, Abed was a Senior Associate in the International and Venture Law Group at Gross, Kleinhendler, Hodak, Halevy, Greenberg & Co. Before that, he served as an Associate and in-house counsel at a multi-disciplinary investment company that operates in countries across the MENA region, where he handled different types of commercial and cross-border transactions and joint ventures, including in the areas of IT and real estate development.
